KUPA
KUPA (ukr. Ку́па — pile) is a modular system for fairs.
KUPA is a modular system designed for creative fairs and temporary exhibitions, where artists and designers distribute their work. The project responds to the often disposable nature of temporary display structures by proposing a reusable spatial framework that can be assembled, reconfigured, and adapted to different contexts.
Concept

The system operates between spatial design and everyday practicality. Rather than treating fair infrastructure as a single-use object, KUPA explores how affordable materials and familiar components can be reorganized into a coherent spatial structure that is both functional and ideologically conscious.

The project adopts a holistic approach to material selection and construction. Plywood panels form the primary surfaces of the installation, providing structural clarity and visual consistency, while modular connectors and lightweight rods create a flexible framework that can be easily assembled, expanded, or disassembled.

Alongside conventional materials, the project experiments with alternative composites, including plastic-free panels produced from coffee waste. Beverage boxes, such as beer crates, are repurposed as structural elements for custom furniture pieces, forming an assemblage of simple, accessible components.

Through modularity and careful material choices, KUPA proposes a reusable system for creative fairs that reduces waste while maintaining a visually coherent environment for displaying work.
The project was conceived, designed, and visualised by me.
